Alex studied Jurisprudence at University College, Oxford, and qualified as an English solicitor in 2000. He moved to Jersey in 2003 to take up a position within the financial services law group of Bedell Cristin and qualified as a Jersey Advocates in 2008. Prior to joining Dickinson Gleeson in January 2020 Alex had been a partner at Walkers and a group partner at Hatstone Lawyers.
Alex has extensive experience advising on all aspects of Jersey corporate and banking transactions, with a particular focus on real estate backed financings. He has have been regularly instructed as Jersey transaction counsel in relation to securitisations and other structured finance transactions, and on a wide range of corporate finance transactions including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and disposals usually with cross-border elements.
Alex also advises trustees, directors and others on a wide range of non-contentious matters relating to private client structures involving trusts, companies and partnerships.
